Outlines, fillings, one colour, small size in most cases – these are the characteristics of this style. The beauty of it is that the schematised silhouettes form a clearly recognisable image even from a distance. In terms of durability, they are perhaps the most enduring because due to the absence of tones and transitions they will always have the same effect as when they were made, even with the possible fading. In many cases, these tattoos are not as simple as they appear at first glance. They can still contain a lot of detail, which can be just as time-consuming to create as a more complex, tonal graphic. There will always be fans and collectors of these types of tattoos, I think minimal tattoos will never go out of fashion.
